Why should you use dishwasher salt?
Every dishwasher has an ion exchanger, that bonds the ions of calcium and magnesium. This way only soft water gets into the dishwasher, and white scaling won't occur on dishes and eating utensils. If the ion exchange resin gets full of ions, it has to be regenerated. That is the purpose of this dishwasher salt. The calcium and magnesium ions are exchanged to sodium ions. After that, the ion exchanger is able to make the water soft again.
Recommended use: You have to refill the AlmaWin Dishwasher salt if the salt indicator lights up. Proceed according to the instructions of the machine. Fill the regenerating salt in the salt comprtment as indicated in the instruction manual.
About the salt: AlmaWin uses pure mined rock salt. The rock salt is solved in water, and then crystallized. This process removes the impurities. This dishwsher salt doesn't contain any bleach or colorings.
Dishwater salt granules are larger than those of table salt. The granule size ensures that the salt dissolves slowly, and that fine particles do not block the softener unit.
