The enzyme in ox gall has a strong degreasing effect, so it is sufficient to mix a little to the vegetable-based laundry soap to get an effective stain remover. Of course the cattle isn't kept for the Klar's ox gall soap, the gall is just a by-product of the processing.
The soap has the usual natural soap smell!
Easy use of the stain removing soap: before washing, wet the stain of wine, grass etc. and scrub it with the ox gall soap. Leave it to rest, and wash it out!
Other stain removing tips:
- stain remover salt: making a paste with water removes chocolate, blood, grass, paint, and crayon stains.
- citric acid: making a paste with water removes rust and organic stains from clothes, but make a color test first!
- sodium bicarbonate: putting it in soaking water or washing removes grease stains.
"Philipp Klarr started the profession of soapmaking in 1840 in Heidelberg, and lay down the base of the traditional Klar's soap. Nowdays the fifth generation is making the high quality product with heart and hand, from the sepcified recipie."
