Emese Jurth, the founder of BUKKI Candles Eco manufacture tells the story of the brand:
"We lit a few candles at home with my children, who were surprized about the black smoke of the candle, when we put it out. I checked what the average candles were made of and I realized that they were made of crude oil, just like plastic bags. As we have some family members who suffer from asthma, I preferred to find a safer alternative to burn at home. Candles from unreliable source can leave harmful materials in the air.
After a long internet research to find an alternative to paraffin I found vegetable waxes. In addition to being easy to work with, vegetable waxes do not leave harmful chemicals in the air! Researches did not find any carcinogenic materials in their smoke. After a lot of research I chose rapeseed wax and try to turn it into various shapes so that you could enjoy a clearer light into your homes. :) "
