Cress sprouts are great with buttered bread, salads, soups and muesli. Peculiar, a slightly bitter tasted sprouts.
Contains lots of vitamins: A, C, E, beta-carotene. The unsaturated fats in it are preventing cardiovascular diseases. Its chlorophyll content cleanses the blood. Immune system booster. Slighthly diuretic, soothes muscle cramps, anti-inflammatory, even known for its male potency increasing effect.
Growing: all year around.
For a plate of sprouts you will need 1 tablespoon of seeds.
Temperature needed for sprouting: cc. 20°C, water daily.
Sprouting time: 2-4 days.
Attention! Cress seeds require special sprouting technique.
This is a special sprout that turns into a gel if you add too much water, and sprouting stops.
Find a flat plate, the best is traditional clay ceramic plate. Wet the plate, so the seeds would stick to it. Pour the seeds on the plate, so the seeds would form only one layer. Do not add more water, do not soak the seeds, like any other sprouts.
