Plastic bags have severe envirnonmental impacts: they degrade in 300-400 years, and if they get burnt in an incineration plant, they form toxic dioxines and hydrogene cyanides. Canvas bags are a great alternative of them, because canvas is an untreated, natural material. It has a strange habit, that it gets approximately 10% smaller when first washed (depending on the washing temperature). We recommend washing canvas in maximum 30-40°C water. You can avoid it getting even smaller, if you don't wash it on higher temperatures.
