Suitable for cleaning, or for pickling vegetables and dressing salads.
Some of the many examples of using vinegar in your house:
all purpose cleaner, window cleaner, in the dishwasher, mopping solution, in the washing machine (as fabric softener), drain cleaner, stain remover: ink, sweat, glue, rust, and paint spots.
Tips & tricks:
Vinegar as fabric softener: Vinegar softens fabrics, enhances the color of clothes, and neutralizes the laundry detergent. If you fancy deliciously smelling clothes, just add a few drops of essential oils or laundry perfume to the vinegar!
Vinegar also keeps your washing machine clean! If your washing machine could use a thorough wash itself, pour 1 liter 20% vinegar, and start a program on 40-60 °C!
Vinegar as all-purpose cleaner: Clean your bath tub, tiles, tapware, toilet and sink by mixing 1 part vinegar and 1 part water in a spraying bottle. Spray it on the surface, let it work, scrub if needed, then rinse with plain water!
Sterilize your sponges with vinegar! Soak them in 20% vinegar for a night, then rinse with plain water!
Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of baking soda in your clogged drain, pour over 1,5 dl vinegar, and follow it with hot water after it foamed up.
Clean windows without harsh chemicals! Mix 2 dl 20% vinegar, 2 tablespoons of 70% alcohol, or 4 tablespoons of 40% alcohol in a 1 liter spraying bottle, then fill the rest with water!
For mopping add 1 dl of vinegar into 5 liters of water. If you add a couple drops of antibacterial essential oils, you can further enhance the sterilizing effect, and also make your apartment smell delicious!
We also recommend vinegar for rinsing your hair if you use shampoo bars. Add 2 tablespoons of vinegar into 2 liters of water, and rinse your hair with this mixture, to balance the pH of your scalp.
